Damodar Raao Biography

Damodar Raao (born Mithilesh Singh on 21 August 1977) is an Indian composer, Singer, Music producer, and live Performer and has distinction of singing and composing for more than 70 Bhojpuri / Hindi Films, 650 Music Audio/Video Albums and is consider as one of the top Music Director of Bhojpuri film industry. His music genre is about acoustic folk with some trace of Indian classical music.

Early life

Raao was born in West Champaran district, Narkatiaganj, Bihar, India, Raao is now living in Mumbai and he is from a musical family, his Father "Ramdhani Rao" was a folk singer in his district. He has composed more than 70 films (including Hindi, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Nepali, Punjabi, Hariyanvi, Gujrati, Marathi etc. languages) and had done several hit albums.. His single Bharat Ko Bachana Hi Hoga Modi Ko Lana Hi Hoga in 2012 in Mumbai was his first succeed and he proved his potential and popularity.
